Hey, I am Dan Martin!
I got started in this industry back in 1996 when I made the transition from construction to simple web design and then quickly to back end web development absorbing every language I came across.
As a web developer, I specialize in PHP / Laravel Framework and love the freedom it gives me to build things quickly. I also enjoy working with other back end languages and frameworks like Python/Django, Java/Spring and iOS development. My web development skills extend to frontend aspects of web development including JavaScript and Vue, Angular, React, LESS/Sass/CSS, designing databases, as well as building applications that can scale.
I write about web development, life, exercise (Not as often, actually almost never… ok never) and solving programming problems I come across day to day when I haven’t been able to find good solution elsewhere.
My wife and I own a couple of pet supply stores titled The Animal House (No Toga supplies can be found here.), on the coast of Maine. I have three kids Atharv, Annie, and Ryan who love to learn to code with dad.
